Fort Benton Pool

On warm summer days, the Fort Benton Pool is a favorite place to cool off. It’s a simple, family-friendly spot to take a break, let kids burn off some energy, and enjoy a slower pace between activities.

Whether you’re swimming laps, floating for a while, or just enjoying the sunshine, it’s an easy addition to a day in town.

While the Missouri River is central to recreation in Fort Benton, swimming in the river is not recommended. Strong currents, undercurrents, and cold water conditions can make it unsafe.

For a safer and more relaxed experience, the community pool is the best option for swimming. When the pool isn’t available, the safest spot for swimming is at the canoe launch. Life jackets are always recommended on the river.
